Bust Your Own Butt (For Your Health)

You know the quote about how we have the same number of hours in a day as Beyonce? Well now you can see how she stays fit in those hours. The key is how fast she moves (half kidding – half serious)! So really we have no excuses anymore…

Here is the breakdown of the moves and check out the orginial article on Elle for GIFs.

1. Standing Oblique Crunch 

Stand with feet shoulder width apart and hands behind your head. Bring your right knee up parallel to the body while simultaneously reaching for it with the right elbow. Repeat.

2. Explosive Sit-Ups With a Medicine Ball

Lay flat on your back with legs and arms extended. Hold a medicine ball between your hands. Sit up explosively as you reach with the medicine ball towards your feet and your knees bend simultaneously as your feet move towards your hands.

3. Alternating Dumbbell Punches

Picture your ex moving his head side to side and you get the picture (or just check out Beyonce).

4. Explosive Side Lunges Over Bench

With one leg firmly planted on a bench (position the bench beside you, not in front of you) jump explosively and switch legs as you land on the opposite side. Repeat.

5. Single Leg Lunges

Stand with feet shoulder-width apart and step forward with your right leg until the knee is directly over the heel. Repeat 10 times and switch sides.
